Novice "Users" information:

We will be working out of SAMS Teach Yourself Red Hat Linux 9 over the next year
Loaner books and computers will be available on a limited basis
Computers, Books and Memberships can be purchased at the meetings. Prices are $100 or $200 for everything.

Typical times and activities:

5:00pm to 5:15pm - Doors Open
5:15pm to 6:00pm - Pre-Meet Warmup
6:00pm to 8:00pm - Cover this week's topic(s)
8:00pm to 8:50pm - Question & Answer session
8:50pm to 9:00pm - Cleanup
On February 12th we will continue our series in the book "Sam's Teach
Yourself Red Hat Linux 9"
We will begin by creating a universal logon so we can all be on the same
screen, then we will finish hour 4, learning permissions and how they work.
After that we will go through hour 5 "Making the Console Work for You".

On February 19th we will be covering hour 6, "Getting Help at the Console"

Since we will be covering only 1 hour of the book there should be plenty of
time afterwards for discussion and tips.
Please bring your working Linux PC with all of the accessories.
I will bring several PC's for members and guests.

If you have not joined us before or have missed a lesson or two, don't fret
come on and you will not be lost.
